The Magic Card

Everyone is excited to hear the sound of Mr. Postman's bell as he pedal around town. Everyone's eyes gaze to see and look at the brown bag wrapped around Mr. Postman's body. Everyone is so excited, so thrilled with the thought that Mr. Postman might have something for them. The excitement or thrill is inevitable as Mr. Postman checks through the mail and calls on the names. If only one can scream “Mr. Postman, Mr. Postman do I have a mail?”, everybody would be screaming from afar.

The card, the magical card, is what everyone is up to. No one knows how it looks like or what is written in it. It is always wrapped up with mystery that shakens the mind. It never fails to make the heart jump for thrill and excitement. May if be from a friend, a family or from a lover or someone just across the street with wonderful thoughts of you, The card, simple as it is, never fails to bring the certain kind of emotion only it can give. May it be with bad or good news. No matter what news it brings, the emotion it carries with it is always there.

Some cards are simple with only the card board, some sketches and some pen marks on it. Others have colors and pictures on it. Still some are fancy with buttons and designs and some materials you never thought that imagination has brought together to bring such a wonderful creation. The look always depends on the taste of the person who sent it to you or how the sender wants to make the receiver feel.

Cards carry with them different words put out together either to mean a thing or to make you tickle. There are still those that remind you of something. May it be happy or may it sad. At times it reflects the thought they want to pass. At times it comes so simple with no words but when you touch and see and feel it, you can feel the deep thoughts someone wants to send to you. Cards can do tell more than words at times.

No matter how it looks and what words comes with it, it is the thought that counts. The priceless thought that we are in somebody’s mind. The thrill it gives you upon opening and the feeling it inflicts in you. At times these feelings are just sparks but there are also instances they turn into fire. That is why they are called magic cards.
