From Tree to Paper
Grown-ups would always say that we should not waste a single piece of paper since the number of trees is already dwindling in our world. The lack of trees has serious consequences, not only to our paper supply, but in the welfare of our nature as well. Although wood pulp is said to be a renewable product, we are still faced with lots of problem since most of us are not taking some of our precious time to plant a tree.
But really, how does a wood pulp become a paper?
The paper that we are using right now is 95% made from trees. Trees with high quantity of cellulose fiber are really farmed for the purpose of paper production. These trees are noted to have cellulose fiber that comprises with 40 to 50% of the total weight of the said tree. Cellulose fibers are the only thing needed for paper making; this is why lignin and other organic materials should be separated in the “pulping” process.
Pulping could be mechanical and it mainly produces paper products that do not require strongly bonded fibers like newsprint, packaging, and others. The other method is chemical processing where heat, pressure and chemicals are used to dissolve the lignin in the wood.
But then again, paper could not be recycled infinitely. The fibers of the paper are getting shorter and shorter each time they are mechanically processed making it possible for an average paper to be reprocessed from three to six times. Other than pulping, production of recycled paper also requires bleaching because of the combination of different dyes and inks that are used in the paper previously.
After bleaching, the wood pulp now undergoes an intricate process of layer building before it is sent to the final roller, which squeezes out the last of the water. Paper is often dried with infrared heat. The output or the recycled paper usually looks a little off-white or gray making it physically different from the processed new paper that is totally bleached.
Although the “paperless society” is now being explored by many technological firms and experts, paper is still far from extinction. We would still need paper in the next centuries or so, making it important for us to be familiar with recycling paper and reuse of raw materials.

Card Making For All Occasions
Every year, each one of us celebrates our birthday and in addition to that, other special occasions equally deserve of a grand celebration and of course our utmost attention. Kid-Friendly Card Making
Parents are very protective of their children. So, when the time that they are should go to school. It is the parents who are scared and the children are very ecstatic. Both of them, the kids and the parent, could not sleep days before the first day of class. Again, it is excitement for the children and paranoia for the parents.
Parents are particularly scared during the arts and crafts class since it is that specific subject when their children could freely use scissors and other harmful instruments to work with their craft projects. Some parents are too scared and paranoid to the point that they would request the school if they could just bring the project at home so that they could watch them carefully as they work on the project. However, some parents are quite sneaky. Instead of running the risk of hurting their children in the process, they would just work on the project instead and let their children play outside.
But have you parents ever thought that in this way, not only they are teaching their children to be lazy and dependent but also they are depriving them of a once in a lifetime chance to learn new things and explore their creativity?

Office Cards?
I have been a part of many companies ever since I joined the work force, more than ten years back. I have already observed how each company would follow a different set of norms and standards. How each would have a different culture and how hard at first to adjust and make myself fit in their so-called working environment.
But I find my present work, a bit different. When I accepted the job offer, along with the contract they gave me an office card. It was a card welcoming me to the company and telling me how they are really happy that I am a part of their team. Of course, I find it very warm and comforting. It inspired me to do my best in all of my tasks and projects. It is through those words of encouragement that I am now continuously improving myself.
Apart from the welcome card, my new office also has other cards to give their employees. Each card is meant to further inspire the employees to be the best that they can possibly be. It reminds us that we could always be more than what we are right now. There is always a room for improvement. Boosting your employee’s morals through these cards is indeed a fantastic idea.
