Parents are very protective of their children. So, when the time that they are should go to school. It is the parents who are scared and the children are very ecstatic. Both of them, the kids and the parent, could not sleep days before the first day of class. Again, it is excitement for the children and paranoia for the parents.
Parents are particularly scared during the arts and crafts class since it is that specific subject when their children could freely use scissors and other harmful instruments to work with their craft projects. Some parents are too scared and paranoid to the point that they would request the school if they could just bring the project at home so that they could watch them carefully as they work on the project. However, some parents are quite sneaky. Instead of running the risk of hurting their children in the process, they would just work on the project instead and let their children play outside.
But have you parents ever thought that in this way, not only they are teaching their children to be lazy and dependent but also they are depriving them of a once in a lifetime chance to learn new things and explore their creativity?
Card making is one of the most common arts and crafts activities that most schools would assign their pupils. Parents need not to worry if they would hear that a teacher is giving a card making project for the class because there are many ways by which they could be assured that it would be safe and educational for their children. Card making is the safest art and craft project in schools. It is designed in such a way that the creativity of the children would be challenged without even worrying about scissor cuts and other crafts-related accidents.

For starters, teachers are already showing the students the kind of card that they are about to make, a day before the card making day. It is through this activity that the cognitive skill is challenged since the kids are just instructed to look at the card carefully to observe on the things that they should bring for the card making project. Since this is a no-scissors kind of card making project, they are expected that all of the paper that they will need is already cut under the parent’s supervision, of course.
When the card making day comes, everyone is excited, including the parents. This time they are not worried at all since they know that their children are safe in this kind of activity. The kids love card making activities. It is that kind of activity in school that they look forward every month. For them, it is really fun to make a card and customize its design based on what they want. It is one way of children to express themselves and let their feelings or emotions heard.
